Book Launch - Constitutional Conventions by Dr. Jayampathy Wickramaratne
The launch of Dr. Jayampathy Wickramaratne’s book, “Constitutional Conventions” will be held
on 16th July 2026 at 4 p.m. at the National Library and Documentation Services Board
Auditorium. This Book covers topics that are of enormous constitutional significance such as the
Executive power in Sri Lanka, Appointment and Removal of the Prime Minister, Dissolution of
Parliament and Establishing the Supremacy of the Constitution over Parliament. Mr. Saliya Pieris,
President’s Counsel and Professor Dinesha Samararatne will speak at the Book Launch.
The organizers of this event have reserved five seats for the students of the Faculty of Law,
University of Colombo.
