    Important Notice for Year III

    Dear Students,

As you are well aware, the internship is a mandatory component of the LL.B. (Hons.) Programme. Accordingly, students will be assigned to internship placements by the Faculty of Law during Year III, Semester II, which is fast approaching. During this semester, you will also have lectures two days per week, and you are required to maintain the minimum attendance requirement of 70% for each subject. Accordingly, internship placements will mainly be arranged in Colombo and the suburbs.

This year, before finalising the internship allocations, we would like to hear from you as well. The first internship programme under the new semester system was conducted last year with 324 students, and we have taken note of their experience and positive feedback. In that spirit, we are giving you an opportunity to indicate your preferred areas of internship placement.

However, this must be clearly understood, the submission of preferences does not guarantee placement according to your preferred choices. The Faculty will make every reasonable effort to accommodate student preferences where possible, but this will depend on the availability of placements, institutional requirements, student performance, and other relevant considerations. The final allocation of internship placements will remain solely at the discretion of the Internship Convener.

You are therefore requested to complete the following Google Form only once, using your official university email address:

    Internship Placement Preference Form

Please do not submit the form on behalf of another student. Each student must complete the form personally, after giving due thought to their genuine preferences. This is an opportunity for you to communicate your interests responsibly, so please consider your options carefully before submitting the form.

The deadline for submission is 10th June 2026.

Please note that no responses, or late submissions will be accepted after 10th June 2026. Therefore, you are strongly advised to act responsibly, make a considered decision, and submit the form within the stipulated deadline.
