Invitation - Ceremonial Sitting of the Supreme Court
A Ceremonial Sitting of the Supreme Court will be held on 31st July 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM to mark its 225th Anniversary. The Supreme Court has extended an invitation for 50 students of the Faculty of Law, University of Colombo to attend this event. This is perhaps the first time that law students have been invited to a ceremonial sitting of the Supreme Court which is normally reserved for practitioners and judges. As the available seats are limited, 50 students will be selected on a first come first served basis.
